Israel Latest – 1 Killed 9 Injured And 4 Dead Including A Mayor in Beirut

In Latest Missile Attacks on Northern Israel, 1 Killed and 9 Reported Injured

Siren alerts are sounding in towns of Betzet, Shlomi and Metzuba that are parts of Northern Israel sharing border with Lebanon. Caution is advised after Hezbollah fired 100 rockets in fresh attack throughout the day. A report also mentioned of drone targeting residence of PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mayor Among 4 Dead in Beirut

Lebanon state media news confirmed that latest Israeli strikes on a town in Beqaa valley killed four. A strike on a residential building in the killed the four. Haidar Shahla, Mayor of the town of Sohmor is also confirmed killed in the strike.

While the official National News Agency reports confirm the strike, there is no statement from IDF. Lebanese media also confirmed fresh attacks on Dahiyeh, a stronghold of Hezbollah in southern suburb of Beirut. IDF warned Lebanes civilians and shared warning to stay away from two buildings expected to be hit by air strikes.

Israel Hostage families urge participation from public against Netanyahu government in Tel Aviv

With fresh rocket attacks on Northern Israel diminishing the hopes of the families of the hostages, anti-government protesters and these families urged public to participate in anti-government protests. Kulanu Hatufim an X user in a post states “No More Excuses”. As per the group of families, Netanyahu to continue his stint as a Prime Minister have torpedoed hostage release deal many times. This resulted in many hostages losing their life and others suffering torture and threat to life.

 

Protests are expected to begin at 7 PM local time. The Hostage and Missing Families Forum will also be holding a weekly rally on Hostages Square.

Following escalations with Lebanon in early September, IDF restricted the protests and this will now be resuming.
