Apple in a groundbreaking leap, has started rolling out Apple Intelligence, with latest update of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 a suite of advanced AI-powered features. For now, it is available in English (US), Apple Intelligence introduces natural language enhancements, expanded productivity tools, and new ways to interact across Apple devices, setting the stage for a more connected, responsive experience.
Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, spoke of this release as a transformation: “Apple Intelligence brings a new era for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, unlocking experiences that make our devices more powerful and personal.” Craig Federighi, Apple’s SVP of Software Engineering, elaborated, highlighting features designed to streamline tasks like generating custom summaries for notifications, offering refined writing tools, and allowing seamless search capabilities in Photos by simply describing what’s in an image.
Expanding Global Reach
Initially available in English (US), Apple Intelligence will start supporting other English dialects in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK by December. A larger rollout starting in April 2025, will bring support for English (India), Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Vietnamese, continuing Apple’s expansion into more languages worldwide.
