Isarael Defense Forces Reports Fresh Attacks from Lebanon; Sirens Sound Across Northern and Central Regions
In significant escalations, three rockets were fired from Lebanese territory towards Israel’s central town of Tira, 11 people have been reported injured including three receiving moderate injuries. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the origin of the rockets and stated that air raid sirens were activated across central and northern areas, signaling the threat.
Earlier today, around 15 rockets were launched from Lebanon in an intense morning assault targeting northern Israel. IDF reports indicated that one rocket was intercepted, while another landed in an uninhabited area, causing no injuries or substantial damage. Sirens blared across the Western Galilee and the Haifa Bay area, alerting communities close to the Lebanon border.
Israel Defense Forces Intercepting Drones
Separately, IDF air defenses successfully intercepted three drones launched from Iraq over the Red Sea. The Iran-backed, Islamic Resistance based out of Iraq, claimed responsibility, stating they intended to target sites in Eilat. No sirens sounded in Eilat as the drones were neutralized before reaching Israeli airspace.
Additionally, a senior official from Iraq’s pro-Iran Hezbollah al-Nujaba militia announced coordinated efforts with Tehran for a potential response to Israeli actions. This follows Israel’s airstrikes on October 26, which were a response to an Iranian ballistic missile strike earlier in the month.
This series of cross-border incidents marks rising tensions as Israel faces multifront attacks amid ongoing hostilities in the region.
